The fund initially had its rating suspended when Philalithis’ retirement plans were announced last September, but it has since been entirely removed after analysts met with the vehicle’s new manager, Talib Sheikh, who they argued is likely to “evolve” the investment approach of the fund.
This is due to the “fluid macroeconomic environment” Sheikh believes will mark the coming years, which has sparked a “more flexible and dynamic” style of management.
