With interest rates at their highest level in over a decade, experts highlighted the new environment has take a toll on gold, with John Reade, market strategist for EMEA at the World Gold Council, explaining that investors “typically prefer assets with higher yields” as interest rates rise and stock markets enjoy bullish sentiment.
