IA Japan once again topped the charts for the sector with the highest number of consistently performing funds in the first quarter of 2024, according to the Columbia Threadneedle Investments Multi-Manager Fund Watch survey.
The sector has achieved the top position for a third quarter in a row, with eight out of 68 funds (11.8%) delivering a top quartile performance as at 31 March 2024, followed by the IA Global Mixed Bond sector in second place with six out of 71 funds (8.5%).
On the other side of the spectrum, the IA £ Corporate Bond and the IA £ Strategic Bond sectors managed to avoid the bottom with one fund achieving the returns target, while all funds in the IA UK Equity Income sector failed to meet this hurdle.
